This blog has the double purpose of being my personal weight-loss blog and my attempt to separate fact from fiction when it comes to the common mythology of dieting. It’s all a selfish pursuit really. The more I know about how all of this works, the more likely I am to be successful in permanently losing weight. That’s the theory at least.
Don’t get me wrong, I do hope that some of the information I put here will be helpful to others as well, but really this is all about me.
I welcome correction, but am not interested in platitudes or politics, nor am I interested in how such and such fad diet worked for you. Sources are generally going to be required for any extraordinary claims.

You just need some willpower, fatty! Or. Everyone knows that being fat isn’t really unhealthy. = STFU.
